With a Cold-Shot, you don’t have to drain water lines, sprinkler systems, or hot water systems before cutting pipe or tubing. Our pipe freezing tool keeps a fully pressurized system operating while you make repairs.

The Cold-Shot pipe freezing tool freezes liquids in metal and plastic pipes ranging from 1/8″ through 2″ (10mm to 60mm) using carbon dioxide (CO2). Dip tube-type CO2 cylinders are available from any welding supply house.

The Cold-Shot works faster than “refrigerator-type” units, is more compact and less expensive. It’s faster and uses less CO2 than “bag-type” pipe freezers, because the freeze head makes a better seal around the pipe. In five minutes you’re ready to go to work on 1/2″ copper tubing, and just three minutes for cast iron pipe.

Every professional commercial plumber has faced the challenge: ensuring the water is truly OFF before cutting into a pipe and easily draining the water from that piping system. Mistakes can be catastrophic, leading to floods and potential property damage. With the Drain Down Pro, you can confidently confirm the water is off, every single time.

Key Benefits of the Drain Down Pro:

  1. Avoid Unwanted Surprises: Similar to an electrician testing an outlet before working, the Drain Down Pro ensures plumbers don’t cut into active water lines.
  2. Quick & Efficient Draining: Large 1/2″ hole ensures faster draining compared to traditional methods. Turn building water back on swiftly and reduce waiting time.
  3. Full Control with Drain Valve: Easily manage the draining process. Fill buckets, turn off the valve, empty, and continue. Especially handy when there’s no nearby drain.
  4. Built for Pressure: Designed to handle full pressure, and tested up to 150psi.

Unique Features:

  • Versatile: Fits multiple pipe sizes (1.5”-4”) and types including copper, PVC, CPVC, galvanized, and PEX.
  • User-friendly: Easy installation in under a minute. Common socket sizes (9/16” and 3/8”) and a nut driver (3/8”).
  • Hassle-Free Maintenance: Quick drill bit replacement without disassembling. Simply use an Allen wrench through the drain valve.
  • Compact Design: Lightweight and conveniently fits in standard toolkits.
  • Cost Saving: Reduce water turn-off downtime, and costly floods.

Why Every Professional Commercial Plumber Needs the Drain Down Pro:

  • Safety & Assurance: Every commercial plumbing company, mechanical contractor, and industrial plumber should consider this tool. Even building owners, property managers, and insurance companies should consider this tool vital to protect their investment.
  • Insurance Benefits: How many water damage claims arise from accidental plumbing mistakes? We believe insurance companies might offer lower rates for those using this tool, similar to incentives for homeowners with leak detection devices.

Deliver the Power to Shower

Zurn Elkay Water Solutions, the industry’s largest supplier of cleaner water solutions for drinking water, hygiene and sustainable water management, launched the new Zurn Wilkins 600XL3 and 625XL3 Pressure Reducing Valves.

The Zurn Wilkins 600XL3 and 625XL3 Pressure Reducing Valves are the best way to always have the water pressure you want. These valves use venturi technology to keep ideal water pressure at higher flow rates, so you get more consistent pressure than competing valves.

For leading performance, the 600XL3 and 625XL3 reduce pressure loss over the entire flow range, making specification and sizing easier, as well as improving the user experience. Cost-effective repair kits and cartridge design help to significantly reduce lifecycle costs.

For a drop-in install, the short lay length fits within tight spaces and the double union option offers jobsite flexibility. The lay length of the 600XL3 is the same as the 600XL, and the lay length of the 625XL3 is the same as the 625XL and similar competitor competing valves. Stainless steel internals extend the product lifespan by resisting corrosion, and the all-bronze body and bell provide enduring strength. The enhanced sealing of the strainer access port reduces the potential for leaks while ensuring the valves are suitable for systems that require frequent cleaning.

Ahead of the (Flow) Curve

The Zurn Wilkins 600XL3 and 625XL3 lead the competition in flow performance in their class. The 1″ Zurn Wilkins 600XL3 has a 12 PSI pressure advantage when compared to the leading competitor at the typical plumbing design flow rate limit (8ft/s)

Ariston USA, a part of Ariston Group, has introduced the HTP EVERLAST Light Duty, a new electric water heater for the commercial market.

The Everlast Light Duty includes a range of distinguishing features. It can be converted from single phase to 3-phase power and/or simultaneous operation to non-simultaneous. A terminal block allows for easy phase or operational conversions in the field, and lightweight construction with high-quality 316L stainless steel makes the EVERLAST Light Duty easier to handle than glass-lined competitors.

Two low watt-density titanium heating elements ensure longer element life, and fully automatic surface mounted high temperature thermostats allow for simple and reliable adjustability up to 181˚ F. A factory-installed brass drain valve helps create fast and easy draining.

The 277-volt unit has 12,200-watt input and meets or exceeds the standby loss requirements of the U.S. Department of Energy. It is AHRI certified and listed, NSF certified and includes 2+ inches of California compliant low-GWP foam insulation. The EVERLAST Light Duty includes an industry-leading 10-year warranty out of the box on the tank and one year warranty on components.
