Construction Salaries & Saluting Veterans

Construction Salaries

On this week’s update, we talk construction salaries. According to Baker Tilley’s 2025 Construction Industry Salary Report, elevated interest rates and shifting market dynamics remained key influences again this year as they have over the past few years. However, anticipated interest rate reductions in the second half of 2025 and into 2026 are creating optimism of a rebound in residential and certain nonresidential markets. Although construction employment levels are growing at a slower rate than past years, labor availability continues to be a key challenge for the construction industry.

Veterans Day

Also this week, we featured Veterans Day special Appetite for Construction podcast which featured Nate McIntosh, director of logistics and warehousing for GF Building Flow Solutions Americas and a U.S. Marine Corps veteran. He has served since 1999 through today, with four and a half years of active duty, and the rest in a reserve capacity. McIntosh holds the rank of Master Gunnery Sergeant and has served in various roles throughout his career. You can listen to it here, https://www.buzzsprout.com/1203956/episodes/18163977
