Winsupply Inc., one of the largest distributors in the nation, announced the hiring of Grady Collins as chief financial officer (CFO), and the promotion of Jeff Dice to vice president of Shared Services.
In addition to the appointments of Collins and Dice, Roland Gordon, who was named president of Winsupply earlier this year and served as interim CFO, will add to his responsibilities working with the company’s Information Technology (IT) teams developing strategies and prioritizing IT projects. Collins joins Winsupply from HA-International LLC (HAI), Westmont, Ill., a leading supplier of foundry products, where he served as chief financial officer, vice president of finance, and treasurer. He will be responsible for managing the company’s accounting, finance, tax, and risk management departments.
“Grady is a results-oriented senior executive who brings more than 18 years of diversified finance experience,” Gordon said. “He has been active in helping make key decisions on the strategic direction and business planning of the companies for which he’s served. He also set the tone for ensuring integrity of all internal and external financial reporting.”
Prior to joining HAI, Collins worked at Hexion Inc., Columbus, Ohio, which was a 50 percent owner of HAI until June of this year. He joined Hexion in 2004 as manager of financial reporting and held global controllership and international business finance leadership roles in the US, Australia and the UK. Earlier in his career, he was an audit manager at Deloitte & Touche LLC in Columbus. Collins is a registered certified public accountant in the state of Ohio and received his bachelor’s degree in accounting from The Ohio State University. He will relocate from Oak Park, Ill., to the Dayton area in the coming months.
Dice’s position as vice president of Shared Services is a new role at Winsupply. “Most of our back office service departments will roll up under Jeff including accounts payable, credit, payroll and support among others,” Gordon said. “Jeff has a great working relationship with the finance and operations teams, as well as with the local companies. Jeff’s in-depth knowledge of all aspects of our business will allow him to drive efficiencies and productivity in new ways to achieve greater levels of profitability.”
Dice joined Winsupply as the president of Winsupply Group Services – Dayton in 2004. In 2005, he moved to the Winsupply corporate office as a financial analyst to work special projects and organize the internal audit functions. He became vice president of Electronic Data Integration in 2008. He was appointed chief financial officer of Winsupply’s wholly owned subsidiary Noland Company in 2011. Before joining Winsupply Group Services, Dice was an audit manager at Battelle and Battelle Inc. (now RSM US LLP) in Dayton. He has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Indiana University and is a certified public accountant.
