Franklin Electric Co., Inc. (www.franklin-electric.com – NASDAQ:FELE), a manufacturer of complete wastewater and cleanwater pumping systems, will display multiple Little Giant® HVAC pumping innovations at the 2017 AHR Expo in Booth C5120 at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, January 30-February 1. On display for attendees will be:

Franklin Electric’s new Little Giant VCC-20-P Series is designed for automatic collection and removal of condensate from air conditioning, refrigeration, and dehumidification equipment installed in air handling and plenum applications. The VCC-20-P Series is constructed with plastics that have been tested by Underwriters Laboratories to meet the requirements of UL Standard 2043 “Fire Test for Heat and Visible Smoke Release of Discrete Products and Their Accessories Installed in Air Handling Spaces.” UL Standard 2043 is a fire test method for determining the fire performance response of discrete products intended to be installed in air handling spaces, such as above suspended ceilings or below floors. The VCC-20-P Series delivers pumping performance of 80 gph at 1 foot and 20 feet shut off (on 115 V) and has a low profile height of 1-3/4 inches.

The Little Giant EC-1-DV Series Mini Condensate Removal Pump provides multi-voltage operation from one unit. The pump is designed to operate on any common residential and commercial voltages of 115 V, 208 V and 230 V single phase. The EC-1-DV and EC-1K-DV accomplish this multi-voltage operation by sensing the supply voltage and providing only the right amount of power to drive the pump to produce precise and consistent pumping performance. The pump offers improved noise reduction, reliable solid-state switching technology, and easy installation on the right or left side of mini-split, wall-mount ductless air conditioners. In addition to these features, it includes all the innovative features of the existing EC-1 Series.

The Little Giant SpeediDuctTM line set duct and accessories cover, protect and aesthetically hide refrigeration line sets for both mini-split and ducted air conditioner systems. Available in the color white or ivory, SpeediDuct naturally blends in against structures of similar colors or can be painted to match any exterior color. Multiple sizes of straight duct along with accessories, such as elbows, bends, caps, and joints, provide a flexible solution around any problematic location or application. In addition, SpeediDuct is easy to install. One of its primary features, the patented SpinFix™ clip and rail system, allows the contractor to quickly secure the line set, drain tubing and electrical wiring while the SpeediDuct covers are easily snapped on over the top. A variety of all-inclusive installation kits, including the Flex Hose kits, also provide the contractor with everything needed to quickly and properly meet the need of the application.

Twelve new P x P reducer and P x FPT union options are available for the Viega MegaPress and MegaPressG systems for carbon steel piping systems.

Viega introduces 12 new reducer and union options for the Viega MegaPress and MegaPressG systems for schedule 5 to schedule 40 carbon steel piping systems in sizes 1/2″ to 2″.

The Viega MegaPress system uses modern cold press connections for pipe installation. The Viega MegaPress system is ideal for hydronic heat, chilled water, compressed air, fire sprinkler systems, low-pressure steam and vacuum lines. Viega MegaPressG fittings are designed for use in fuel oil and natural gas applications.

The MegaPress and MegaPressG P x P reducers and P x FPT unions are available in 1/2″, 3/4″, 1″, 1 1/4″, 1 1/2″ and 2″ sizes.

“Viega is happy to introduce the new series of reducers and unions to the MegaPress system,” said Derek Bower, product director, metal systems at Viega. “Our continuously growing Viega MegaPress line makes it even easier to use this innovative system for a large number of commercial, industrial and residential applications.”

More than 200 Viega MegaPress fittings are available ranging in sizes from 1/2″ to 2″ that include elbows, couplings, reducers, tees, reducing tees, threaded adapters, caps, flanges and unions. The fittings use a stainless steel grip ring with an EPDM sealing element for the Viega MegaPress system, or HNBR for the Viega MegaPressG, along with a stainless steel separator ring that ensures the sealing element and grip ring perform at maximum capacity.

Ideal for industrial, commercial and residential applications, the Viega MegaPress system is easy to use, flameless and environmentally friendly. It makes secure, water-tight and air-tight connections in seconds. The system performs well in both new installations and retrofit projects. The innovative addition to Viega’s product line leaves no joining material buildup, exposed threads or tarnish creating a clean, professional appearance. Viega MegaPress is also FM- and UL-compliant.

The patented Smart Connect® feature, available only from Viega, allows water to flow past an unpressed fitting, providing installers with added confidence in their connections.

Since the Viega MegaPress system is flameless, it is safer than traditional systems and eliminates the need for hot work permits. The system is clean, requiring no welding rods or cutting oils. It can be installed under flow conditions, making it ideal for maintenance or emergency repair jobs, and reducing costly downtime by decreasing plant shutdowns. The press technology also maintains the structural integrity of the pipe.

Viega’s MegaPress system is FM compliant for fire sprinkler applications and ASME B31 compliant for pressure and boiler piping and MegaPressG fittings are CSA LC4 compliant for fuel gas and oil applications. The system meets the most rigorous testing codes and standards in North America and is warranted against defects and workmanship.

Fortiline Waterworks (Fortiline), one of the largest waterworks distributors in the United States, is now open in Friendswood, TX, replacing Morrison Supply Company’s waterworks branch at 14500 Beamer Road, Friendswood, TX 77546. The Friendswood branch features a fully stocked 12,000-square-foot warehouse with a 10-acre yard. With this new branch, Fortiline now has 44 distribution branches in 12 states.

Fortiline will provide local customers with a high-density polyethylene piping (HDPE) product line at the Friendswood location, as well as McElroy fusion equipment for rental or purchase. Fortiline’s HDPE Fusion Group is ready to assist customers with the growing use of HDPE products, particularly in water and wastewater applications.

“The Fortiline Friendswood branch has a knowledgeable staff in place, which will ensure the highest level of customer service from day one,” said Mike Swedick, President and CEO of Fortiline. “Fortiline has a solid presence in Texas, with four existing branches across the state, so we know this region well.
