Sewer Camera Plus Gen-Pack™ Battery Adapter, Wi-Fi, and Distance Counter

The Gen-Eye X-POD Plus^® sewer camera system from General Pipe Cleaners includes the Gen-Pack™ battery adapter, Wi-Fi transmitter, and an on-screen distance counter as standard equipment to boost productivity and profitability.

Depending on battery type and settings, the built-in Gen-Pack battery adapter lets you operate the camera system for up to 12 hours in remote locations with limited access to power. Fuse-protected to safeguard your equipment investment, the Gen-Pack battery adapter is also available separately. Battery and charger are not included.

X-POD Plus makes sharing inspections easy. The built-in Wi-Fi transmitter lets you view and record work on a cell phone or tablet. And with the system’s USB port, you can also archive activity on handy flash drives.

The on-screen distance counter also shows how far the camera has travelled down a line in feet or meters. And for optimum accuracy, settings can be adjusted for full size or mini-reel configurations.

The full size X-POD features a self-leveling color camera and 200 ft. of tough, Kevlar^® braid Gel-Rod^® for inspecting 3” to 10” drain lines, and a Reel Cage Cover to protect work sites and equipment from dripping video cable reels. Full size reels sport 10” wheels for optimal maneuverability.

Franklin Electric Co., Inc. (NASDAQ: FELE) recently announced the launch of the next generation of Little Giant^® 5-MSP compact submersible utility pump. The new pump offers the same compact size yet features a new motor designed to boost the pump’s overall performance and efficiency.

The 5-MSP, originally launched in 1980, is considered a workhorse among landscape professionals, homeowners and hobbyists, who trust it for general water circulation in ponds, fountains, water displays and hydroponics. Among the most compactly sized and highest pumping capacities of any submersible pump on the market, it delivers proven power along with dependable operation.

Now, Little Giant is improving these iconic features with the next generation of the 5-MSP. “Our goal was to offer the same little stature that Little Giant is known for but create a bigger impact in terms of performance and value,” says Jeff Wilder, North American plumbing product manager. “The new 5-MSP is nearly identical in core features and aesthetics to the original, but at the heart of it is much more powerful and built for the future.”

This new “heart” is a permanent split capacitor (PSC) motor that operates without oil–creating a more environmentally stable unit that is better suited for outdoor living applications. It also runs more efficiently, delivering the same or better pumping capacity than the original 5-MSP, but at greater depths, and offers continuous-duty rated for reliable 24/7 operation.

Also much like the original, the next generation of the 5-MSP is still the pump of choice to be used for any commercial, industrial, and home applications where water must be transferred or recirculated.

Rapid Rail® Sensor Technology

Let’s start with our Rapid Rail® Sensor Technology. This advanced technology is featured in the Job Link® System Premium Pipe Clamp Probe, JL3PC; and in the two largest pipe clamps in the industry, measuring up to 4^1/8” – the Large Pipe Clamp, TC48 and the wireless Job Link® System Large Pipe Clamp, JL3LC. Previous technology measured temperature with readings affected by the ambient air and  moisture. Rapid Rail® Sensor Technology perfected the process – only giving accurate readings.

With two sensors, one on either side of the pipe clamp tool, the electrically conductive pipe itself completes the circuit on both sides, giving the tech a stabilized and accurate reading within five seconds. And, as the tech adjusts the system with the clamp attached, they can instantly see temperature changes as they happen in real time.

RunQuick® Oil Change System

Our second most notable patent is for the RunQuick® Oil Change System. This allows techs to change the oil on a vacuum pump without turning off the pump or losing vacuum. In less than 20 seconds, a tech can swap out the old oil and add in new oil.

During an evacuation, once oil has become cloudy, that means it could be saturated with moisture or contaminants. This signals that it needs to be changed or you’ll experience longer system evacuation times.
