Gerber®, a leader in plumbing products across North America, is expanding its Viper® Toilet-in-a-Box product line to include an ADA-compliant option. The new bundle will include a Viper 1.28 gpf 12″ Rough-in ErgoHeight™ Elongated Toilet, which meets the height and length requirements as specified in the Americans with Disabilities Act Accessibility Guidelines (ADAAG).

The Viper line of toilets, regarded as the professional’s choice “Set-It-and-Forget-It Performance,” features a tall, narrow tank that optimizes flush speed, and quickly refills using the trusted, industry best Fluidmaster® 400A Fill Valve. The WaterSense® certified bowl includes powerful front rim jets and a fully glazed and optimized trapway to maintain a clean and sanitary bowl with every flush. Gerber’s exclusive multi-point mounting system and non-corrosive solid brass tank-to-bowl bolts ensure ease of installation and long-lasting stability.

The complete Toilet-in-a-Box kit includes the Viper toilet bowl, tank, slow-close seat and cover, wax ring and floor bolts/nuts. Supply line is not included. The kits are available as of August of 2019.

Neutra-Safe introduces its new NSP-50 condensate neutralizing pump for improved reliability, ease of installation and service, and space savings in the mechanical room.

The NSP-50 combines the functions of two accessories into one; high-efficiency gas appliance condensate neutralization and condensate pumping in one easily-maintained accessory. It is sufficient for appliances with input capacities up to 500,000 BTU/h.

A transparent chamber top is provided for effortless visual inspection of the neutralizing chamber. The cover snaps on and off for easy replacement of neutralization media, which is contained in a disposable fabric sack for quick, simple recharging.

To save labor and material costs where both acidic and non-acidic condensate needs to be disposed of, the unit can accommodate more than one appliance. The NSP-50 features separate inlets for acidic condensate and non-acidic condensate. This allows the installer to use one device in place of two or more where both a gas-fired appliance and air conditioning unit may need to be drained.

The built-in pump is the popular and robust Little Giant VCMA series. This pump is known within the industry for its reliability.

The Nano® Dual Flush Elongated Toilet is the latest water-saving product from Niagara® Conservation. Built with Niagara’s patented and highly innovative Stealth® Technology, the Nano is a high-power, low-maintenance, no waste toilet that guarantees a powerful, clean flush every time.

Viega PureFlow PEX pipe and fittings have been listed by Underwriter Laboratories (UL) as approved for use in exposed fire sprinkler systems in basements.

The UL listings mean builders and contractors are now able to use PureFlow, Viega’s versatile system of PEX pipe and fittings, throughout an entire residential fire sprinkler system, said Seth Larson, product manager at Viega LLC. The listing eliminates the need for contractors who have used PureFlow PEX throughout a house to have to join it to pipe of another material in the basement.

“Contractors who prefer PureFlow for its easy handling, fast connections and reliability will be happy to know that they can save time and money now that they can use the system throughout the entire house,” Larson said.

The listings cover two types of ceiling. PureFlow can be installed and left exposed in wood joist ceiling assemblies where the following conditions are met:

• Joists are of dimensional lumber, engineered wood, wood I-joist or open web wood joists (wood floor trusses)
• Joists are of depths from 6-16 inches (152-204 mm)
• Joists are of spacing from 12-24 inches (305-610 mm) on center
• Joists can be exposed after installation
• Metal pipe hangers spaced at maximum 24 inches (610 mm) on center are used
• Listed residential automatic sprinklers of maximum activation temperature rating of 165°F (68°C)

PureFlow can be installed exposed across finished ceiling assemblies where the following conditions are met:

• Ceiling is finished with one of the following approved membranes:
• Minimum 3/8 inch (9.5mm) thickness code-complying gypsum wallboard or;
• Suspended membrane ceiling with lay-in panels or tiles having a minimum weight of 0.35 lb/ft² (1.76 kg/m²) when installed with metallic support grids or;
• ½ inch (13mm) code-complying plywood or solid sheathing
• Metal pipe hangers spaced at maximum 24 inches (610 mm) on center are used
• Listed residential automatic sprinklers of maximum activation temperature rating of 165°F (68°C)
