HoldRite® a subsidiary of Reliance Worldwide Corporation (RWC) and a leading manufacturer of plumbing pipe and equipment support systems, acoustical plumbing solutions, water heater accessories and water and firestop sleeving systems has launched a new HoldRite HydroFlameTM firestop product line. The new UL (Underwriters Laboratories)-listed product line, which includes firestop and acoustic sealants, intumescent wrap strips, pipe collars and putty pads offers HoldRite users a complete, one-source sleeving and firestop solution for new and retrofit construction.

According to HoldRite Marketing Director Darlene Byrne, the new firestop and acoustic sealant line compliments HoldRite’s popular HydroFlame Pro Cast-in-Place Firestop, which has a patented telescoping design that can extend to any deck depth required. The new line of sealant products goes beyond cast-in-place solution, providing flame, gas and liquid intrusion protection for a wide variety of wall and floor penetrations, she said.

“Previously, our products focused mostly on cast-in-place solutions,” said Byrne. “Based on the demand, we’ve expanded our offering from 36 UL system listings, to more than 300, allowing us to be a single-source sleeving and firestop provider. This makes it much easier for contractors to specify our products and allows them to approach sealing wall and floor penetrations for commercial and residential construction in a more systematic way, rather than with piecemeal solutions.”

The new HydroFlame Sealants line includes:

Sealants
HydroFlame Sealants protect vertical and horizontal construction assemblies from smoke and acoustic penetration, and prevent intrusion of flames and gases. They are compatible with a wide range of materials, including interior rated gypsum, concrete and block walls, as well as rated concrete floors, concrete over metal decking floors and wood floor/ceiling assemblies. Additionally, HydroFlame Sealants work with a variety of materials, such as cast iron, steel, steel conduits, copper pipe and tubing as well as nonmetallic pipes such as PVC, CPVC, ABS, PVDF PEX, PP, XFR pipes and more. They can also be used around various cables/bundles and sheet metal ductwork.

Wrap Strips
The HydroFlame Wrap Strip is made of a high-performance, flexible, intumescent materials that form a protective char when exposed to heat, in order to prevent the passage of flames and toxic gases. They can be used in fire-rated assemblies to seal off large combustible pipes or, insulated pipe penetrations within concrete/masonry walls, concrete and wood floors and gypsum wall assemblies. They can also be used with a custom collar.

Pipe Collars
HydroFlame Pipe Collars are pre-assembled with highly intumescent material and are ideal for use in open and closed through-penetration firestop systems. Featuring an easy interlocking tab for efficient installation, our unique design helps save time and expense when compared to our competitors’ smaller collars. HydroFlame Pipe Collars are ideal for firestopping larger plastic combustible pipe penetrations up to six inches in diameter. Collars are compatible with concrete floor and wall assemblies, as well as on gypsum walls and rated wood floors.

Putty Pads

HydroFlame Putty Pads are made of a moldable, non-curing, single component fire-rated material. Used for membrane-penetration firestop systems, our putty expands when exposed to heat to form an insulating char. This protects against the spread of flames, smoke and toxic gas through penetration openings. No mixing is required for application, and this product can be used on metal or nonmetallic electrical box outlets and electrical or mechanical cabinets.
