The Sump and Sewage Pump Manufactures Association (SSPMA) has been selected to provide a three track educational session at the Water & Wastewater Equipment, Treatment & Transport (WWETT) Show on February 23, 2015.
Three sessions will be presented by SSPMA members focusing on various aspects of pump installation and maintenance including:
Sizing Guidelines for New or Replacement Sewage Pumps, presented by Deron Oberkorn who is the Corporate Product Development Manager for the Zoeller Company.
Backup Battery and Combination Pump Systems Evaluation and Installation, presented by Alan Schulman who is the founder and CEO of Glentronics, Inc. and
Specifying Pumps / Why Do Pumps Fail? presented by Jeff Hawks, President of Champion Pump Company, Inc..
The association recently published a White Paper titled “Why Homeowners Need a Backup Sump Pump System” which will be the basis for a portion of session led by Alan Schulman. The paper answers the common questions homeowners with basements have regarding the prevention based options available to them. The Sump and Sewage Pump Manufacturers Association (SSPMA) is a North American trade organization of sump, effluent, and sewage pump manufacturers and their suppliers. The association works to inform consumers, train wastewater and plumbing professionals, as well as create product performance and safety standards. Pumps bearing the “SSPMA-Certified” seal have been tested by the member manufacturer in accordance with SSPMA Industry Standards. The Standards are designed to provide accurate performance data for sump, effluent and sewage pumping equipment, to assist in their proper application and selection.
