New Model Includes 6-Year Tank Warranty, 1-Year Parts Warranty
American Standard Water Heaters has introduced the 80-gallon Light Duty Commercial Electric Storage water heater, a unit that is loaded for powerful performance for years to come.
Among the many features that make this water heater different from similar models on the market is the warranty: the unit includes an industry-leading 6-year tank warranty and a 1-year parts warranty. Several features that will help prolong tank life include:
- Screw-in dual-heating elements that are manufactured with Incoloy® and have low wattage density to ensure operation and longer element life.
- A turbulence-inducing dip tube, engineered to reduce sediment build-up inside the tank.
- A heavy gauge steel tank that ensures years of trouble-free service, and a magnesium anode rod that will also prolong tank life.
The DuraGlas™ lined tank is fired at 1600˚F for optimum protection from corrosion. It is hydrostatically tested and certified at 300 PSI test pressure/150 PSI working pressure to ensure quality and safety.
Additional features include:
- Factory-installed heat traps that reduce standby heat loss caused by heat mitigation to water pipes.
- Two-inch thick HFO foam insulation to further prevent heat loss to the surrounding environment.
- Fully automatic, surface mounted thermostats to enable easy temperature control, and a manual energy cut-off prevents overheating.
- A full flow brass drain valve that ensures quick and easy drainage.
- A factory-provided and installed temperature and pressure relief valve.
American Standard Water Heaters did not forget the installing contractors: The 80-gallon Light Duty also includes a terminal block for easy phase-in or operational conversions in the field.
