Uponor’s Domestic Water Piping and Hydronic Piping specifications are available in both MasterFormat™ 1995 and 2014 formats on the ARCAT site. The site also includes a profile for each product family that allows engineers to research Uponor’s products on the ARCAT website, then offers them a link to Uponor’s Online Product Catalog to access CAD and BIM files.
“ARCAT users are searching for alternative solutions that have specifications written in the three-part specification context they are accustomed to,” says Tony Radcliff, vice president of Marketing, Offerings and Engineering at Uponor. “Having our specs on ARCAT allows us to reach an audience that is unaware of Uponor PEX products by offering an easily accessible product business profile. This aligns with our mission to offer our professional partners the right products in the right formats in the right places.”
There is also an ARCAT app available for iOS and Android that allows professionals to research Uponor products via mobile devices and easily link to specs as well as the Uponor Online Catalog.

NOV Mono has secured a significant success by being nominated as the preferred supplier for a major new pressure sewer network in Australia. Having evaluated various other alternatives, urban water corporation Wannon Water has chosen Mono’s innovative InviziQ™ pressure sewer system as the most cost-effective and easy-maintenance option for the Dutton Way project in Portland, Victoria.
Designed as an intelligent alternative to conventional gravity sewering options, InviziQ™ provides controlled transfer of sewage, but because it does not rely on gravity it offers the freedom to install sewers in any area, irrespective of the terrain, slope, environmental sensitivity or topography. It features a network constructed from small diameter pipe, and can be installed either in narrow trenches or via directional drilling. This gives virtually unlimited freedom in the design and layout of the network, which can then be sized to meet the specific needs of each individual project.
The Dutton Way residential project currently houses 180 properties which are serviced by septic sewage tanks. This figure will increase to 314 homes, all of whom will have the option to install an InviziQ™ sewage pumping system that feeds into the existing Portland sewer network. The InviziQ™ system is the perfect answer for a development like Dutton Way. as it will give each home access to a highly effective sewage solution and can be scaled up as new properties are added over time.
“We were able to present the InviziQ™ system to Wannon Water, and took the opportunity to demonstrate our ability to provide technical support for a large-scale project such as this,” adds Mono’s Technical Sales Representative, Daniel McClusky. “As the InviziQ™ system used on the Dutton Way project is installed by a certified installer, free training sessions have been provided for local contractors to obtain certified status.”
Any Dutton Way resident who chooses to install an InviziQ™ system on their property will be supported by Wannon Water, who will be responsible for maintaining the unit’s pump and motor assemblies for life.

Incorporated into the brochure is a Faucet Comparison Guide making it easy to select the right faucet by such features as spout, finish, vacuum breaker or even service type; models are available for non-pressurized or a continuous pressure system. The brochure also points out the faucet’s importance in helping reduce the risk of backflow and contaminant exposure to potable water supplies. For example, the atmospheric vacuum breaker spout is designed for use on non-pressurized systems. When installed properly, it can provide excellent protection against back siphonage; and the pill resistant vacuum breaker spout is designed for use on continuous pressure lines and is recommended for any application with system connections or shut-offs downstream.
All faucets have Chicago Faucet’s exclusive Quaturn™ compression operating cartridges for interchangeability, ease of maintenance and repairs.

The temperature can be adjusted when needed and quickly returned to the preferred setting. Models are also available with concealed temperature control and a vandal-resistant cap for consistent water temperature and added comfort and safety.
