In NASCAR, fans will see the red Rinnai logo in an associate position on Stewart-Haas Racing’s No. 14 Ford Mustang driven by Chase Briscoe in the NASCAR Cup Series. In the NHRA, Tony Stewart Racing drivers Leah Pruett and Matt Hagan will carry the Rinnai logo in the Camping World Drag Racing Series, with Pruett running a full Rinnai primary sponsorship on her Top Fuel dragster in two events – the NHRA Winternationals March 30-April 2 in Pomona, California, and the NHRA Carolina Nationals Sept. 22-24 in Charlotte, North Carolina. Hagan will sport a full Rinnai livery on his Funny Car in the NHRA New England Nationals June 2-4 in Epping, New Hampshire, an event the three-time champion has won four times, including in 2022.

Our expertise in tankless water heating is unmatched, and this partnership with Tony Stewart and his NASCAR and NHRA teams allows us to tell that story in a thrilling, team-oriented environment that emulates the quality and dedication we put into our products and services,” said Frank Windsor, president, Rinnai America Corporation

“The similarities of our business to racing are numerous especially when speed efficiency, and superior quality are keys to success. Performance is paramount, and that’s something Rinnai has always understood. It’s part of our overall commitment to our customers, and racing embodies that commitment.”

The NASCAR Cup Series encompasses a total of 39 events in its milestone 75th season, beginning with the non-points Busch Light Clash Feb. 5 at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum and ending with the season finale Nov. 5 at Phoenix Raceway. The NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series includes 21 events in 2023. Its 72nd season starts with the NHRA Gatornationals March 9-12 in Gainesville, Florida, and concludes with the NHRA Finals Nov. 9-12 in Pomona.

“We’re incredibly proud to have this partnership with Rinnai because it shows the strength of our motorsports program,” Stewart said. “NASCAR and NHRA offer two very different fan experiences and combined they touch every corner of the country. Rinnai and its customers get the best of both worlds because our program allows a number of choices to promote its products and services.”

In addition to branding on racecars, Rinnai becomes the official tankless water heater of Stewart Haas Racing and Tony Stewart Racing. This designation highlights Rinnai’s brand promise of “Creating a healthier way of living®”, a mantra that is at the forefront of all the company’s efforts. By continuing to offer quality products and services to homeowners and organizations, Rinnai is aiding in providing businesses and homes with energy-efficient hot water options for cleaner and healthier living.

The announcement of the partnership comes after a series of milestone events for Rinnai America. “We opened a new manufacturing facility last year in Griffin, Georgia, that has allowed us to combat shipping delays and supply-chain challenges. In this facility, we manufacture our new RE Series™ Tankless Water Heater, the first and only non-condensing unit with a built-in pump. That product, along with our ability to manufacture in the United States, is another reason why we’ve partnered with Tony Stewart and have become the official tankless water heater of Stewart Haas Racing and Tony Stewart Racing,” Windsor said.

State Water Heaters, a leading manufacturer of commercial and residential water heaters, today announced it will partner with Jeb Burton and Our Motorsports for the 2022 NASCAR season. State has worked with Burton for more than a decade, but this will be the first season in partnership with Our Motorsports out of Massachusetts.

This year, Burton will be racing the 27 Chevy Camaro and will compete for a full season in the NASCAR Xfinity Series for the second consecutive year. The season kicks off Feb. 19, with the Beef. It’s What’s For Dinner. 300 at the Daytona International Speedway. During the 2021 season, Burton scored his first career Xfinity Series win at Talladega Superspeedway in the spring.

“After last year’s big season, I’m looking forward to carrying that momentum into 2022, and making our fans proud,” Burton said. “I’m incredibly grateful to have a continued partnership with a brand like State Water Heaters, which places a high value on many of the qualities I aim to exemplify through my racing career. It’s exciting that we also get to bring on a new partnership this season with the addition of Our Motorsports. We’re ready to make history this year.”

Burton will drive the 27 car in a State Water Heaters paint scheme the following races this season:

State has been involved with the Burton family since 2007 when it started working with Ward Burton, Jeb Burton’s father. The brand decided to continue its relationship with the Burton family when it began sponsoring Jeb during his debut NASCAR season in 2012. State will also remain a sponsor of Burton’s TV show, Crossroads with the Burtons, which chronicles Jeb’s and Ward’s work on the track and in wildlife conservation.  The show can be found on the Sportsman’s Network.

“We’re proud of what Jeb continues to accomplish on the track, and we’re also incredibly proud to sponsor someone who so closely aligns with our values here at State Water Heaters,” said Jeff Storie, State Water Heaters marketing director. “Jeb’s resilience, consistency and reliability are just a few of the reasons we’ve continued to work with the Burton family for more than a decade.”

Aside from cheering on Jeb, contractors can get involved with the racing season by participating in the when “Jeb Wins. You Win.” Contractor Rewards® promotion, which begins Feb. 10 and runs through Nov. 5, 2022. To participate in the promotion, State Contractor Rewards members can enter the code JEB27WIN2022. They will receive 100 bonus points for entering, and each time Jeb wins a race, members will qualify for additional chances to win.

Ward Burton is one of the most acclaimed drivers in NASCAR history with a victory at the 2002 Daytona 500 and multiple wins at Darlington, considered the toughest course on the NASCAR circuit.

Burton knows it takes solid, dependable equipment to succeed on the track, and he applies that principle to his home life too.  He began his relationship with State Water Heaters in the 1990s when he selected a large State gas unit to handle the hot water needs of his Halifax, Virginia home.

A believer in State durability, Burton partnered with the company as an official ambassador for the State brand. He uses State products not only at his primary residence and vacation homes, but also at all facilities operated by the Ward Burton Wildlife Foundation. Continuing in his father’s footsteps, Ward’s son Jeb is now part of the State racing team in his #8 Chevy.

When it was time to update the water heater in his North Carolina vacation home, Burton took advantage of the opportunity to select a unit that would reduce both energy usage and his utility bills by installing an 80-gallon ProLine® XE hybrid electric heat pump.

“It’s the best water heating technology on the market today if you want to start seeing immediate savings,” said Dwayne Kincaid from Benjamin Franklin Plumbing in Wilmington, NC, the company that installed Burton’s new State unit.

Burton chose heat pump technology because it’s more than twice as efficient as a standard electric water heater. It will lower water heating costs by 70 percent or more, paying for itself in 2-3 years. “That’s just one of the many reasons why I have State water heaters in all my homes and foundation properties,” said Burton.

Created for the way people live and use hot water, the ProLine® XE heat pump’s four operating modes; efficiency, hybrid, electric, and vacation, will allow for Burton to customize the water heater’s performance to his lifestyle. With just one touch, the heat pump can go into vacation mode, maintaining tank temperature at 60° F during vacations or extended absence to reduce operating costs and provide freeze protection. “It gives owners of vacation or rental properties the peace of mind of knowing that they’re not throwing money down the drain,” says Kincaid.

“Over the years, I’ve done a lot of events with State dealers and contractors,” he said. “They’re great people who make and maintain great products.”

NASCAR Hall of Fame driver Bobby Allison is no stranger to life in the fast lane. By the end of his racing career, Allison had accumulated 84 credited victories. This includes winning the Winston Cup and the Daytona 500 not once, but three times.

At 78 years old, Allison lives a little slower paced life in Statesville, North Carolina. Now retired, he spends his time around home when he’s not helping his grandson Robbie launch his race career. With the added time at home, Allison has time to enjoy amenities around the house, many of the same amenities that are important to non-racing legends, including plenty of hot water. When his water heater began to fail in June 2015, he wasted little time finding a new solution.

Heading up the replacement of Allison’s old water heater was Robbie Clark of North Meck Plumbing of nearby Huntersville, North Carolina. Clark, a veteran of the industry, has sustained his career of 31 years by abiding by one simple but often overlooked rule: provide top-notch customer service.

“We depend on lasting relationships,” Clark explained. “That’s why we work tirelessly to provide our customers with high quality, reasonably priced solutions.”

premier-hybrid-electric-heat-pump-50-gallon-electric-water-heaterThe solution to Allison’s hot water replacement was a State 50-gallon Premier® Hybrid Electric Heat Pump water heater. Having installed three to four State units a week for the last 30 years, Clark was confident that this unit would effectively service Allison’s 3,000 sq. ft. residence, which includes two-and-a-half baths, a kitchen, and a laundry room.

“I’ve tried nearly every State product, and regardless of the type of model you prefer I find them to be superior to everything else on the market,” said Clark. “From manufacturing to support services State has made customer satisfaction a top priority, and that’s something that results in loyal buyers.”

As an ENERGY STAR® qualified product, the 50-gallon Premier Hybrid Electric Heat Pump is one of the most energy-efficient water heaters on the market. With an energy factor of

2.75, homeowners can save an average of $392 per year compared to standard electric models.  In addition to the savings delivered by utilizing heat pump technology, this unit features premium features such as a user-friendly display, vacation mode, and a heavy-duty anode that protects the tank for up to 10 years.

A typical day of hot water usage in the Allison household includes showers, laundry, dish washing and more. The new State unit has no problem providing plenty of hot water for the Allison home. While daily showers, quick runs of the dishwasher and a few loads of laundry a couple times a week are the norm, Allison finds comfort in knowing that his water heater can handle times of high demand.

“I’ve worked hard, both personally and professionally, to see to it that things were done correctly. And choosing a State water heater is further evidence of that,” said Allison. “It’s just a good piece of equipment that will do the job and do the job right.”
