With an increasing demand for high quality, energy efficient heating products, ACV Triangle Tube is pleased to announce that they have invested in a new, state of the art production facility. Designed to streamline the manufacturing process and to produce goods at a higher capacity, this new facility utilizes a completely automated robotics line. This sophisticated production process employs laser welding for enhanced precision and accuracy. Unlike manual welding processes, this method eliminates the element of human error while assuring total consistency throughout all products. That change alone results in increased product longevity and overall reliability. The automation also promotes synergy across all their platforms by enabling the organization to satisfy growing global demands while improving overall product value. According to ACV Triangle Tube, “The investment made in this new facility signifies our long-term commitment to the heating and hot water industry”.

Manufacturing efforts will focus exclusively on the Smart indirect fired water heater line, specifically Smarts 30 through 60. (Smart 80 or higher will be unaffected.) Already celebrated for its unique “Tank-in-Tank” technology which enables it to have the lowest pressure drop in the industry, the Smart tank will receive some updates as production shifts to the new facility. One such update is the improved insulation, which will aid in reducing standby loss thereby increasing savings. The new welding technique will further increase the product’s superiority, giving homeowners continued peace of mind. However, for the sake of satisfying manufacturing demands and to standardize global production, the boiler connections have been moved to the left side of the unit. ACV Triangle Tube states that, “This change was one of the prerequisites in converting to an advanced production process and therefore was necessary in order to improve the product’s quality and satisfy growing demands. The excellence of a product is measured by a manufacturer’s willingness to consecrate its efforts on pleasing the customer and working together. We have demonstrated that in introducing the Fire Tube heat exchanger to the residential market and again with our exclusive “Tank-in-Tank” technology”.

Now ACV Triangle Tube continues their pursuit of space heating and hot water excellence with the addition of this modern manufacturing facility. To learn more please visit www.triangletube.com

High-Performance Models Designed for Easy Installation and Maximum Efficiency

  • Industry’s highest Energy Factor of 0.99, Thermal Efficiency of 100%
  • Integrated Wi-Fi control1 enables remote user-control of water heater via free mobile app
  • Built-in recirculation pump1 allows easy plug-and-play installation of home recirculation system
  • Active bypass provides unparalleled temperature stability and eliminates the need for a buffer tank, even with varying flow rates and supply water temperatures
  • Dedicated commercial and residential models for indoor or outdoor installation

Today, Bosch Thermotechnology Corp. announced a new line of tankless gas condensing water heaters. The Bosch Greentherm 9000 Series offers nine models for high-efficiency domestic hot water in residential or commercial applications, adding new features for easy installation, operation and maintenance. The Consumer Technology Association recently recognized the Greentherm 9900i SE model as a CES 2017 Innovation Awards Honoree2.

The Greentherm 9000 Series features an Energy Factor of 0.99 with Thermal Efficiency of 100%, which is the highest in the industry for condensing gas water heaters. This series achieves temperature stability of plus- or minus- two degrees Fahrenheit through the active bypass. Furthermore, its advanced technology seamlessly controls output capacity, optimizing comfort and efficiency by combining the burner’s pulsating mode with the bypass valve to achieve the desired outlet temperature, even at low flow rates. Its wide operating range – between 9,000 and 199,000 Btu, saves energy when hot water demand is low.

The Greentherm 9000 Series models feature sleek, rounded corners on the metal cabinet, making these water heaters as beautiful as they are energy-efficient. The premium 9900i SE model has a unique, stylish glass front and integrated Wi-Fi control – also an option on other models – enabling the homeowner to control water heater remotely via a free mobile app. The Wi-Fi module communicates with the app to provide operating performance information to the user, and sends any alerts directly to a compatible smartphone. Outdoor models feature a concealed, built-in controller with optional Wi-Fi connectivity.

“We designed the Bosch Greentherm 9000 Series with the installer in mind,” said Freddie Molina, tankless product manager of Bosch Thermotechnology Corp. “For indoor units, top-mounted water connections allow for easier, faster replacement of a tank-type water heater. The patented OptiFlow combustion management system automatically adjusts for a variety of installation conditions, including flue length and altitude, eliminating the need for a combustion analyzer in most installations to simplify the installation process.”

Each model offers simple conversion to LPG using the included manifold injector kit, which eliminates stocking both LP and NG units, thus saving the wholesaler’s inventory cost.

Installation permits up to 60 feet of venting with two-inch pipe, or 280 feet of venting with three-inch pipe, using a wide range of venting material options. It may be used with half-inch or three-quarter-inch gas line with appropriate connection3, and a built-in recirculation pump1 allows for simpler installations. The Greentherm 9000 Series requires no dedicated return line, decreasing wait time for hot water at the tap, thus reducing water waste and saving an estimated 11,000 gallons a year per household.

The commercial Greentherm 9000 models offer heavy-duty primary and secondary heat exchangers for longer lifespan, and deliver water supply temperature to 180°F. Systems also can be cascaded up to 24 units to achieve flow rates of more than 200 gallons per minute – ideal for commercial buildings, schools and hotels.

Residential units offer a standard 15-year limited warranty on the heat exchanger and a five-year limited warranty on parts – see full warranty details, or learn more about the Bosch Greentherm 9000 Series on www.boschheatingandcooling.com.

BLÜCHER today announced an educational webinar, “How Intelligent Drainage Choices Promote Food Safety,” scheduled for February 23 at 2PM EST. Registration is free at http://bit.ly/2iffvpB. Attendees will learn how hygienically designed drainage systems, properly installed and maintained, can significantly mitigate the risk of bacterial contamination for food and beverage processing facilities – all with minimal production downtime.

Floor surfaces pose a significant hygienic challenge to food and beverage processing facilities because they are the area where waste, humidity, and physical stress are most prevalent. Drainage system components are installed in or below flooring, and it is often assumed that regular cleaning rids them of the types of bacteria that threaten food safety. Yet despite the well-intentioned efforts of food and beverage companies, contamination outbreaks continue and recalls occur all too frequently.

The topic of the IEEE GlobalSpec-hosted webinar is especially timely, as the food processing industry is facing a food contamination crisis that is damaging brand reputations and costing companies millions in sales and litigation expenses. The webinar explains how specifying engineers and others can address those problems with the right choice of drainage solutions.
