A. O. Smith, a leading water heater manufacturer, is making it easy for consumers who purchase energy efficient appliances to quickly find ways to earn hundreds of dollars in market incentives. A. O. Smith’s website, www.hotwater.com, now offers a zip code enabled rebate finder powered by EcoRebates that helps consumers find rebates and tax credits for their new high efficiency water heater.

The new tool is easy to use. Customers can enter the location of installation and see the current rebates and terms available for a wide selection of high-efficiency A. O. Smith products at https://www.hotwater.com/water-heater-rebates/.

The Voltex® Hybrid Electric Heat Pump is one of the many sustainable products A. O. Smith offers that is eligible for many utility rebates. The cutting-edge hybrid electric design integrates heat pump technology to produce a product three times as efficient as a standard electric water heater. A $300 federal tax credit is available for Voltex models when purchased for existing homes used as a primary residence (customers should check with their tax advisors for applicability).

“A. O. Smith is a leader in manufacturing eco-friendly water heating solutions that benefit both the environment and our customers,” said Francois Lebrasseur, business development manager, utility sector, at A. O. Smith. “We are relentlessly pursuing ways to create innovative new products, and our partnership with EcoRebates is a great way to encourage adoption of the most advanced technology. Offering our customers significant cost savings and an opportunity to benefit the planet is a win-win.”

According to the most recent Residential Energy Consumption Survey, which is administered by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), more than half of all residential energy consumption is used for heating and cooling. By choosing to purchase an ENERGY STAR® certified unit, such as a Voltex heat pump water heater, consumers are not just receiving cost savings on their energy bills. They are also helping balance supply and demand and for a more efficient and sustainable utility grid system.
