November 3, 2016 – tekmar’s WiFi Snow Melting Control 670 received top honors in the category of Control & Instrumentation at this year’s New Product Competition at the CIPHEX West tradeshow. Recognized for innovation, product quality, and unique customer benefits, WiFi Snow Melting Control 670 was among 64 entries at the event’s annual competition.
A full-featured control, the WiFi Snow Melting Control 670 operates both electric and hydronic snow melt systems once snow and/or ice has been detected. The control works in conjunction with the tekmar Snow/Ice Sensor 090 and Snow Sensor 095 to automatically activate commercial and residential snow melting systems. Accessible via the Connect mobile app, WiFi Snow Melting Control 670 also features “Auto Storm” functionality to initiate temporary idling based on weather forecasts.
