May 12, 2016 – Watts today launched the LFMMV-HTK, a mixing valve that installs on a hot water tank to increase hot water capacity by providing greater control over water temperature and flow. The valve allows water to be stored at higher temperatures, extending water heater capacity by as much as 133% (depending on storage and incoming cold water temperature).
The lead free LFMMV-HTK valve helps minimize the occurrence of Legionella and risk of scalding. By extending hot water capacity, it eliminates the need to replace a hot water tank with a larger-capacity unit. The valve is listed to ASSE 1070, ASSE 1017 and IAPMO cUPC. It comes complete with integral filters, checks and union connections and has a lockable temperature adjustment and a 5°F approach temperature.
