Milwaukee Tool brings game-changing innovation to the cordless power tool market with the introduction of the M18™ Transfer Pump. Developed specifically for the water removal challenges plumbers, HVAC professionals, and maintenance technicians encounter on a daily basis in residential and industrial plumbing applications, the new Transfer Pump allows users to transfer water faster, resulting in faster service calls.

Completely self-priming, the M18™ Transfer Pump is designed with a flexible impeller that, once turned on, starts pumping water instantly from inlet to outlet without the need for additional priming assistance from the user. At 480 gallons per hour, the pump can rapidly move water from one area to another. This flexible impeller also helps create a powerful pressure difference that can produce an 18’ lift. Paired with a head height of 75’, the new Transfer Pump can easily be used in a variety of applications.

M18™ Transfer Pump Kit

Equipped with REDLINK™ Intelligence, the Transfer Pump is protected against dry pumping by switching off when the application is complete and the tool begins running dry. This helps to protect the motor, maximizing the life of the tool and also allows users to conduct other work related tasks without having to worry about damaging the tool.

For added convenience, the battery connects to the M18™ Transfer Pump in a splash-proof compartment on the back of the tool, providing a dry place for the battery during use. This compartment is large enough to fit all M18™ battery packs. In addition, a clear viewing window provides better visibility to the impeller, allowing the user to quickly troubleshoot blockages or other issues. The tool also comes equipped with (2) ¾” brass threads to fit all major brands of hose connections.

Milwaukee® is committed to improving productivity for plumbers, HVAC, and maintenance professionals by offering them the ability to perform an entire job on one battery system. The new M18™ Transfer Pump is fully compatible with the entire M18™ line, now offering more than 100 power tool products.

Owner Recognized as Company’s Woman of the Year

Local business woman Susan Godbout, owner of Mr. Rooter Plumbing of Merrimack County, received the Woman of the Year Award from the Mr. Rooter Plumbing corporate office during the company’s 2016 International Conference held Sept. 11-14, in San Antonio, Texas.

Each year, one standout female franchise owner is awarded the designation of Woman of the Year by consistently setting an example for other franchisees through continuous efforts to strengthen and support her franchise.

“Susan has been a great inspiration and asset to our company,” said Keith Godbout, of Mr. Rooter of Merrimack, who nominated her for the award. “She is deserving of this award and so much more. It is because of her support, care and drive that we are able to do everything we have done with our business.”

Mr. Rooter Plumbing, a subsidiary of the Dwyer Group, is active in the promotion and support of advancing the careers of women in male-dominated trade and service professions.

“Woman of the Year is an award that recognizes outstanding women leaders in a business historically dominated by men,” said Doyle James, president of Mr. Rooter Plumbing. “Susan exemplifies everything Mr. Rooter Plumbing looks for in a leader for the Woman of the Year award. It is our privilege to award her with this great honor.”

“I am so surprised to have been nominated for the Woman of the Year Award,” said Susan Godbout. “I never expected to be given this award. I have worked hard over the years to help bring our business where it is today and am glad to see others have seen what I have done and my ambition to make us the best plumbing company in the area.”

Owners Earn International Award Recognition

Seattle

Vinnie and Mary Kay Sposari, owners of Mr. Rooter Plumbing of Seattle, recently received the Franchise of the Year Award and Top Gun honors from the Mr. Rooter Plumbing corporate office at the Dwyer Group 2016 International Conference held Sept. 11-14, in San Antonio, Texas.

The Franchise of the Year Award is the highest honor that can be bestowed upon a franchisee. The award is presented to the franchisee who has consistently grown through proper training and management of the organization, and has had a consistently high level of sales through quality, professional service.

“This award is the highest honor a franchisee can receive, said Doyle James, president of Mr. Rooter. “Vinnie and Mary Kay have been with Mr. Rooter for many years, earning Franchise of the Year previously over 20 years ago. Through the years they have continued to set the example for all franchise owners. We are proud to have them as part of our organization.”

The Top Gun recognition goes to franchise owners who achieve sales goals and reach operation benchmarks. Top Gun recipients represent the top 10 percent of Mr. Rooter Plumbing owners across North America.

“The idea of ‘Top Gun’ was established by the Navy in the 1960’s as a way to give training and credit to elite fighter pilots,” said James. “Taking a page from the Naval Top Gun program, each year we recognize our franchise leaders for their accomplishments and dedication to the trade. It takes perseverance, hard work, expertise and commitment to reach the Top Gun goal.”

The Top Gun designation was inspired by the 1980’s movie of the same moniker. Don Dwyer, the late founder of Mr. Rooter Plumbing’s parent company, Dwyer Group, initiated the concept. He felt the top franchise owners, who went the extra mile and did what it took to be exemplary, deserved recognition.

“My family and I were very surprised to take home the Franchisee of the Year Award,” said Vinnie Sposari. “We know what an honor it is to receive the recognition of the top franchise owner for Mr. Rooter Plumbing. We are very thankful for the award and look to provide our customers with the great service that allowed us to take home the highest honor.”

San Antonio

Jerry and Carla Mulder, owners of Mr. Rooter Plumbing of San Antonio, received the Rookie of the Year Award from the Mr. Rooter Plumbing corporate office during the company’s 2016 International Conference, held Sept. 11-14, in San Antonio, Texas.

The Rookie of the Year Award is presented to the franchisee who, in the first 12 months, has demonstrated outstanding performance in sales and building the organization.

“New franchisees bring so much to the business; new ideas, new energy and new team members who personify our Code of Values,” said Mr. Rooter President, Doyle James. “The Mulders have a passion to build a strong business and an outstanding team.”

“The first year in any business is not without its challenges, but we have been blessed with a great team, accessible resources and overwhelming encouragement,” said Jerry Mulder. “We are excited to see where the next year takes us.”

This efficient, passive water filtering system is poised to replace older disinfection methods.

US Water Systems, a trusted water treatment systems provider, has announced a revolutionary new water disinfection system. The Silecte™ quantum disinfection system uses an exclusive elemental P-type semiconductor technology to kill 99.99% of bacteria and other microorganisms in water, including E. coli and P. aeruginosa. This breakthrough new water disinfection media requires no electricity and adds no chemicals to the water, making it one of the safest, most cost-effective systems available.

“Silecte™ Quantum Disinfection is the future of disinfection and the future is now!” says Mark Timmons, WQA Master Water Specialist and owner of US Water Systems. “This system should transcend chlorination, ozone, and ultraviolet as the most powerful disinfection process available.” Applications for Silecte™ water disinfection are far ranging, from small inline filters that can easily be added to existing residential water filtration systems, to column, vortex, or weir-based installations for laboratory, commercial and municipal purposes.

Quantum disinfection works completely unlike other disinfection methods, removing the electrons of bacteria and other microorganisms and killing them completely. Silecte™ also works quickly, needing just 0.01 seconds of contact time, requires little maintenance, and offers proven results. Testing by the U.S. Environmental Protection Association (EPA), NSF International, and other third-party agencies prove the effectiveness of Silecte™ X3 media. Please visit http://silecte.com for more information. US Water Systems is the master distributor of Silecte™ systems in the United States.
