PRIER Products, Inc. recently launched a new residential hydrant. Building upon the highly sought-after TrueTemp (P-118) hot and cold outdoor faucet, the CoolTemp (P-114) offers the same level of quality components, distinguishable design and performance as the P-118, in a cold-water version.

“We’ve had amazing demand for the TrueTemp hydrant. Now we offer a similar hydrant in a single-temperature version to match the style of the hot and cold TrueTemp P-118,” said Research & Development Manager, Scott Brady. “Recently we had a homebuilder install seven hydrants on a home and the homeowner loved them. The homeowners desired to match the décor of the house and existing hot and cold hydrant.”
The new CoolTemp is available in an oil-rubbed bronze or satin nickel finish to match surrounding home decor. The patented design has an ergonomic, rubber grip handle for easy operation. Each hydrant is freezeproof, with a self-draining, anti-siphon vacuum breaker and backflow check valve. As with most products offered by PRIER, the new CoolTemp is ASSE code approved.
“This has been a flagship product for PRIER,” said President, Nick Manning. “It’s the most unique design on the market and now part of the PRIER Signature Series.”

Safe and easy to use, simply place the freeze head around the pipe, attach the hose, and open the CO2 cylinder valve. Liquid CO2 flows into the Cold-Shot freeze head, forming an ice pack in the line capable of withstanding 7000 psi.
Faster, more compact, and less expensive than “refrigerator-type” units, the Cold-Shot can create an ice plug in copper tubing within five minutes – and in steel pipe within three minutes.
