A common frustration with adjustable vials on current competitive torpedo levels is that many don’t lock into place when a user wants to measure an angle. The new Milwaukee® 10” Die Cast Block Torpedo Level is designed with a new-to-world Locking 360° Adjustable Vial that secures the vial in place so users can identify and repeat any angle needed on the jobsite. The locking dial protects the accuracy of the vial whether it’s taken in and out of pockets or pouches.
For the very best readability and visual accuracy, the new Die Cast Block Torpedo Level features SHARPSITE™ Vial Technology. Black bands on the vials create high contrast edges that make the magnified bubble easier to read and deliver precision-grade accuracy. The new Compact Billet Torpedoes include a 2” Dual Pitch Vial – the largest and most visible pitch vial in the industry – and maximizes the viewing area in slope, trench and pipe installations. The vials can measure slope in 1/8” and ¼” per foot in any direction. All Milwaukee vials utilize reinforced high-impact acrylic which provides enhanced durability and long life accuracy in all measurement positions.
Available in both imperial and metric, the Milwaukee Compact Billet Torpedo features a laser-etched ruled edge for quick measurements on material and a built-in weld clearance allows the user to measure over pipe joints to ensure accurate slope, level, and plumb positions. he exclusive FLUID-DRIVE™ Hydraulic Powertrain design essentially replaces the traditional hammer and anvil mechanism found in standard impacts with a hydraulic mechanism that generates the power necessary to create torque. Because there’s no metal-on-metal contact, the net result is smoother performance, with a decrease in noise and vibration, as well as longer sustained torque. With faster driving speeds than standard impacts in certain applications, and 450 in/lbs of sustained torque, the new tool delivers unmatched performance.
“In our testing, users were blown away when we told them this tool had 450 in/lbs of torque because it is common for ¼” impact drivers to have up to 1800 in/lbs,” said Cole Conrad. “The difference is peak torque vs sustained torque. In a standard impact, the tool reaches peak torque very quickly but only holds it for a brief period of time. With the longer sustained torque delivered in SURGE™, peak torque is reached faster and maintained for a longer period of time, allowing it to do the same amount of work at a lower torque rating (see graph below). The result is a superior fastening solution designed specifically for small to medium diameter fasters, which make up the vast majority of applications performed by MEP trades.”

Viega LLC announced its release of the Submittal Builder tool. The online tool allows users to easily and accurately create professional, customized project submittals for ViegaPEX and radiant systems.
Using Viega’s Submittal Builder requires a few easy-to-follow steps. To create a customized submittal, users simply double click on the desired documents, or drag and drop them into the “Selected Documents” column. These documents include product instructions and tech data sheets for Viega ProRadiant and Viega PureFlow Water Systems. Users can fill out fields, including customizable customer and project information that will appear on the cover page.
The tool also includes a “Prepared By” section that retains user information for ease of creating future submittals. Users may select warranties for ProRadiant, PureFlow water systems or residential fire products. Once all documents are selected, users simply select “Build Submittal.” After the project is submitted, users can view a cover page and table of contents that is editable for making changes by the engineers, contractor or other fields as applicable

With both the DDH183 drill/driver and HDH183 hammer drill/driver delivering 663 In.-Lbs. of torque at two speeds (0-2100 rpm high speed; 0-480 rpm for high torque), professionals can pack serious power in a lightweight, cordless package.
That’s why both Brute Tough models feature Bosch-exclusive KickBack Control, an integrated acceleration sensor that virtually stops the drill’s rotation during bit bind-up situations. This feature helps reduce the risk of user injury, and a new LED light shows when KickBack Control is activated or the tools overload protection is activated.
