Chicago Faucets reveals a selection of heavy-duty commercial stop valves that are designed to offer a high-quality, commercial-grade, and economically priced option for commercial buildings.

Plumbing professionals and building owners looking for a heavy-duty commercial stop valve will be surprised at the affordability of STB and STC Series stops from Chicago Faucets. These stops give customers in commercial settings a robust, economical alternative to the inexpensive, builder-grade stops typically found in residential applications.

The new STB and STC Series are made from forged brass and metal parts to retain product integrity for a lifetime of reliable operation. Metal valve stems operate smoothly and feature lock shield caps with loose key handles to prevent valve tampering. The loose keys are included with every valve.

These new heavy-duty commercial stops are available with two different valve designs: a 1/4-turn ball valve that provides fast open and close operation with a very reliable, long service life; and a multi-turn compression valve that features fewer parts and can be easily serviced if necessary. All models meet and are certified to current state laws for the reduction of lead in plumbing products, as well as the 2014 federal lead reduction law.

Chicago Faucets expands the selection of pressure-balancing tub and shower fittings with a new valve that incorporates several significant updates to match unique needs, design and budget for every application. The new tub and shower fittings are ideal for education, healthcare, hospitality, multi-family and fitness applications.

With its finely tuned ceramic operating cartridge, the new Chicago Faucets pressure-balancing shower valve offers improved flow management, precise hot- and cold-water mixing, simplified hot water volume adjustment, and a reduced flow rate (GPM) for both tub and shower service. Hot and cold supply inlet check stops are built into every valve. The complete fittings feature modern wall trim styling, with a polished chrome wall plate that’s dual-indexed: embossed “H” and “C” and color-coded temperature graduation allow the user to adjust temperature quickly and easily.

The new Chicago Faucets shower valve is available as part of a complete system that includes a choice of shower head, a diverter tub spout and all finishing trim. The valve may also be purchased separately. Installation is easy: valve inlets and outlets with both 1/2″ NPT and copper sweat connections are built in. All Chicago Faucets tub and shower fittings are fully compliant with relevant plumbing codes and standards. Brewster, NY, January 10, 2014 – As of January 4, 2014 the federal government has mandated that all pipes, pipe fittings, plumbing fittings and fixtures shall not have more than 0.25% lead with respect to the wetted surface area of products used in potable water applications.  As a leading supplier of valves and fittings, Matco-Norca offers a complete line of lead free products that meet or exceed the criteria of the Reduction of Lead in Drinking Water Act (Federally mandated Public Law 111-380).

The enactment of the Reduction of Lead in Drinking Water Act has three key implications.  First, it is now illegal to install non-compliant products in potable water systems, while it is the responsibility of state and local governments to enforce the new regulations through applicable local plumbing codes.  Lastly, penalties for non-compliance could range from the forced removal of products to punitive fines and/or private lawsuits.

To comply with the new law, Matco-Norca adheres to a multi-stage process of quality control complete with quality control inspections, internal and third party lab testing that is conducted on a routine basis.

As the Reduction of Lead in Drinking Water Act takes effect, Matco-Norca looks forward to helping its customers comply with the new lead free regulations.
