Irvine, Calif. — Navien has started shipping the new NHW-A non-condensing tankless water heater. NHW-A is available in two configurations: NHW-AI for interior installations and NHW-AE for exterior installations. Both the NHW-AI and NHW-AE are offered in 160,000 BTU/h, 180,000 BTU/h and 199,900 BTU/h sizes in either natural gas or liquid propane fuel operation.

NHW-A is the first and only non-condensing tankless water heater to feature the patented ComfortFlow® recirculation pump and buffer tank originally introduced in the NPE-A condensing tankless water heater in 2012. ComfortFlow helps eliminate the “cold water sandwich” effect and resolves the issue of low flow rates found in other tankless water heaters.

ComfortFlow also reduces the wait time for hot water by allowing internal or external recirculation without the need for external parts or controls. Users can program recirculation timing for either always-on, a set weekly schedule using the remote controller, or use the intelligent setting that learns the user’s hot water patterns and automatically adjusts the recirculation schedule to match.

“NHW-A with ComfortFlow brings high-efficiency water heating with built-in recirculation to more customers,” said Chia Lin, Water Heater Product Manager at Navien. “In the past, customers who were restricted to non-condensing products had to purchase expensive external pumps along with their tankless water heaters to achieve what the NHW-A now offers already built into the unit.”

Like the NPN, Navien’s first non-condensing product, the NHW-A utilizes the proprietary NaviTech® stainless steel heat exchanger and burner for extreme durability and low NOx emissions. The NHW-A will also utilize the 3-inch by 5-inch NaviVent® concentric venting materials that were originally launched with the NPN.

Leading U.S.-based manufacturer’s new light commercial boilers offer versatility, high performance and efficiency for a wide range of applications

Bradford White Water Heaters, an industry-leading manufacturer of water heaters, boilers and storage tanks, announced the release of the new FT Series light commercial boilers available in 301 and 399 MBH sizes.

These robust boilers have a stainless steel firetube heat exchanger, operate with up to 10:1 turndown, can be used with either natural gas or propane fuel, and run at an ultra-high 95%+ thermal efficiency.

“These versatile new products offer a unique combination of performance, efficiency and convenience for our customers,” said Louise Prader, senior director of product management for Bradford White Corporation. “Bradford White’s FT Series delivers reliable space and water heating suitable for a variety of applications while meeting the evolving needs of contractors and end users.”

Each FT Series light commercial 301 and 399 MBH unit is equipped with onboard high- and low-temperature zone control, smart control of DHW functionality that allows simultaneous space and domestic water heating, and BMS compatibility and can cascade up to four units. Additionally, a sensor actively monitors incoming air for cross-contamination from exhaust flue gases. This unique feature issues an alert when cross-contamination is present, indicating that the vent system should be evaluated to help keep the boiler running trouble-free.

The FT Series 301 and 399 MBH units can be wall-hung or floor-mounted with optional floor stand package. Top and bottom gas and water connections and venting up to 150 equivalent feet offer increased installation flexibility.

Leading water heating manufacturer will provide $125,000 over five years through Industry Forward® program to support robotics facility, teams and events

Grandville Public Schools is pleased to announce a long-term partnership with Bradford White Corporation, an industry-leading manufacturer of water heaters, boilers and storage tanks, for naming rights to the robotics fabrication lab at the district’s new Robotics Competition Center.

Charitable grant funds from Bradford White Corporation’s signature charitable giving program, Industry Forward®, are targeted to support the new Robotics Fabrication Lab as a naming sponsor and robotics teams and events at the new facility in Grandville, Michigan.  This facility, attached to the new Grandville Middle School, will be one of the largest built-for-purpose robotics competition centers in the country. Naming rights sponsors for the facility are being coordinated through the Grandville Academic Team Boosters.

Under the terms of the sponsorship arrangement, Bradford White Corporation will provide $25,000 in annual funding over the five-year agreement.

“We are excited to partner with such a great organization as Bradford White.  We are grateful for their support as we provide an amazing learning environment for our scholars!” said Roger Bearup, Grandville Public Schools’ Superintendent.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with Grandville Public Schools and to provide funding that will positively impact the students in Michigan through meaningful workforce development training and education and exposure to industry careers. Their robotics program has a successful history, and we look forward to a great partnership together,” said Rebecca Owens, senior communications manager, Bradford White Corporation.

“The Grandville Robotics program is celebrating its 25th year, and this new, multi-year partnership with Bradford White Corporation marks a new milestone for us. Long-term sponsorships like this allow us to invest in equipment and make multi-year commitments that expand competitive robotics opportunities for students in Grandville and students from across the Great Lakes region. I would be remiss not to mention that we still have naming rights opportunities at this unique facility, including naming rights for the main competition arena,” said Doug Hepfer, GATB President.
