Taco has introduced self-sensing, variable speed end suction pumps. The pumps, with integrated VFDs, permit fast, accurate balancing. They help to reduce balancing contractor costs, eliminate expensive wiring and the need for external sensors.
New SCI close-coupled end suction pumps, and SFI frame-mounted end suction pumps provide superior reliability and ease in installation for heating, air conditioning, pressure boosting, cooling water transfer and water supply applications. All meet the latest standards for hydraulic performance and dimensional characteristics for quiet, dependable performance.
Pump features include:
- SelfSensing bypass option – an important advantage for engineers who seek to bypass the variable speed control.
- Customers can order either a NEMA 1 drive with an ODP motor or a NEMA 12 drive with a TEFC motor.
- Easy-to-replace, slip-on shaft sleeve to facilitate easy field maintenance.
- Dry shaft design to protect pump shaft by eliminating contact between the shaft and the circulating fluid.
- Flush seal line taps allow installation of filter to protect seal from non-condensable particles in the system.
- Pressure tappings on suction and discharge connections are standard.
- Corrosion-resistant shaft materials generally not required.
SFI frame-mounted end suction pumps feature an improved bearing frame design with sealed-for-life bearings that meet all industry requirements for a minimum bearing life of 60,000 hours. The improved design also incorporates a unique sealing system which prevents the migration of water into the bearing frame.

Beckon, the new touchless kitchen faucet from KOHLER, is the marriage of modern technology and classic design, incorporating Response touchless technology with a classically elegant form. The hands-free functionality enables users to prep, clean, and cook without concern of cross contamination.
Beckon contains all the latest faucet technology in a design that has a graceful, traditional appeal. A detailed sprayhead and base carry the classic lines expected in traditional and eclectic designs, and the Beckon faucet is designed to be hassle-free: it uses AC power, so there are no batteries to replace, and an LED light on the handle indicates when the faucet is operational. The sprayhead pulls down using ProMotion technology, which features a braided hose with swivel ball joint, providing smooth operation with minimal effort. When finished, the sprayhead neatly and securely locks back into place using Kohler’s DockNetik magnetic docking system located within the spout. The proprietary Response Technology enables users to turn the faucet on and off with a wave of their hand, and the activation window is strictly defined to prevent any false activation of the faucet.
Additional functionalities include a dual-function sprayhead to effortlessly switch between stream spray and the Kohler-patented Sweep spray, which employs precisely angled nozzles to form a wide, powerful blade of water that efficiently sweeps dishes and the sink clean. A high arching spout, which makes it easy to clean and fill large pots. A single lever handle that is intuitive to use and makes for simple water temperature adjustment, and the faucet’s unique temperature memory enables it to be turned on and off at the same temperature set during the previous usage.
The MasterClean sprayface has an easy-to-clean surface that resists mineral built-up, and the ceramic disk valves exceed industry longevity standards to ensure a consistent, dependable lifetime performance. It has a maximum flow rate of 1.8 gpm (gallons per minute) at 60 psi and meets CalGreen requirements for kitchen faucets.
The Beckon faucet has a premium metal construction, and the KOHLER finishes options of Polished Chrome, Vibrant Polished Nickel, Vibrant Stainless, and Oil-Rubbed Bronze are all resistant to corrosion and tarnishing.

By reinterpreting classic harmony in its signature minimalist style, Gessi, Italy’s largest producer of high quality original-design bath fittings, has ignited a “Modern-Traditional” dynamic in Fascino that goes well beyond a retro look.
Perfectly simple, rather than fussy or overdone, Gessi’s Fascino console lav sounds both classy and contemporary notes in perfect harmony, living up to its Italian name, charm.

The Fascino lav comes in two sizes, approximately 36″ and approximately 44″ and may be drilled on-site for a single-hole or three-hole faucet. The lavs are made of white matte Cristalplant, a patented technologically advanced Italian solid surface material that is practically fireproof (class 1), strongly UV-resistant, non-porous and 100% recyclable.
