Radiant Plumbing ranked 21st in Austin’s Fast 50, presented by the Austin Business Journal. The Austin Fast 50 Awards recognizes Central Texas independent businesses for exceptional revenue growth over the three most recent fiscal years. Financial information is verified by a specified local accounting firm and companies must have generated a minimum of $500,000 in revenue in 2016 to be eligible for nomination. In 2016, Radiant Plumbing had an annual net revenue of $7.7 million. By 2018, Radiant Plumbing increased its net revenue to $13 million.

Bosch Thermotechnology announced an expansion today to its connected thermostat portfolio with the new Bosch Connected Control BCC50 Wi-Fi Thermostat. The BCC50 is a Bosch connected thermostat that is affordable while still providing high-end features such as smart device compatibility, remote programming and easy integration with HVAC systems.

The BCC50 offers a 2.8-inch color screen with five illuminated touch buttons, a minimalistic design, and voice control via Amazon Alexa- or Google Assistant-enabled devices.
Users can integrate smart home apps with the BCC50 to remotely turn their thermostats on and off, change the temperature, and review current conditions and settings. Alexa or Google will recognize the device by its name, which users can customize in the Bosch Connected Control smartphone app.

While the main rooms within the building may be warm from the primary heating source, many areas are left out in the cold as drafts bring the temperatures down. Vestibules, lobbies, entrance ways and hallways can all see a steady flow of people moving in and out throughout the day, opening doors and letting in chilly air.
To counteract these cold drafts, facilities should consider fan-forced wall heaters that provide continuous comfort through optimized airflow. Gentle heating sources are often not powerful enough to provide sufficient warmth in drafty areas. Fan-forced wall heaters however, push back on the infiltrating cold air, ensuring occupants feel the warmth as soon as they enter the building and until the moment they leave.

Innovation: The Danfoss Interlaced Micro Channel Heat Exchanger (iMCHE) integrates multiple circuits into a single coil. It works using a shared air heat transfer area and controlling each one independently by a multi-circuits system. The iMCHE uses a whole air side heat transfer when operating under partial load conditions to maximize efficiency. Based on the results of a recent case study, the IEER increased 18% when using the iMCHE solution. The iMCHE provides a compact and cost-effective solution for dual-circuit rooftop units. While public concern for climate change continues to increase and higher energy standards are predicted, the iMCHE allows equipment to easily meet new standards with low cost impact.

Available in 42,000 and 96,000 Btu/h capacity, the LG Hydro Kits utilize waste energy generated during the conditioning process and enhance the energy efficiencies of LG VRF systems. This allows the hot or chilled water generated to then be distributed out to a number of different applications with integrated controls that set the temperature of the leaving water, hot water tank temperature or the temperature of the conditioned space.

Innovation: The Infinitum Electric HVAC motor is significantly smaller, smarter and quieter than traditional electric motors. These benefits equate to an ultra-high-efficiency motor that results in up to 25% lower costs for customers. The motor uses a circuit board stator resulting in up to 60% less weight, superior durability, improved performance and enhanced IoT connectivity. Infinitum Electric aims to change the industry standard for motor size and weight.
“The fundamental design of the electric motor has evolved very little since it was developed over a century ago, and we’re honored that AHR has recognized our breakthrough motor technology,” said Ben Schuler, CEO, Infinitum Electric. “With our patented technology, we’ve been able to replace the iron laminated core and copper wire windings found in all motors with our patented Printed Circuit Board (PCB) stator.
