Franklin Electric Co., Inc. (www.franklin-electric.com – NASDAQ:FELE) offers the new Little Giant SPBS Series Battery Backup Systems allowing contractors to provide homeowners with the peace of mind that their basement is protected from flooding when the electricity goes out. The Little Giant SPBS Series comes in four new systems: two options that feature the full system including a primary sump pump, backup sump pump, controller, charger and alarm, and two options providing everything except the primary sump pump. The full systems utilize the proven Little Giant 6EC or 10EC sump pumps that deliver capacities from 53-67 gallons per minute (gpm). The result is a system with high flow rates, quick charging time, and hours of battery longevity.
Adding our proven RS-12 switch, the Little Giant SPBS Series provides hours of reliable pumping when the electricity goes out. The switch technology requires nothing mechanical to operate the pump, thus minimizing the opportunity for mechanical hang-ups. In addition, it features a new controller, charger and alarm system that is available in 10 amp and 12 amp versions. The controller and charger monitor the battery condition and charge it when an electrical outage occurs. The alarm then audibly alerts the homeowner that the unit is in use. The system has built-in protection against overcharging, reverse polarity, short circuits and input overloads, and features a test button to manually run the backup pump for added peace of mind.
The 12 VDC backup sump pump has a durable, non-corrosive housing with stainless steel fasteners for added longevity and provides flow rates of 42-53 gpm. All SPBS Series systems come with a 2-year warranty. For more information, visit www.littlegiant.com.

Londonderry, NH- Bosch Thermotechnology is introducing a new sealed combustion high efficiency stainless steel boiler line with condensing technology. The Buderus SSB Series consists of a total of eight models in four separate chassis sizes with inputs ranging from 85MBH up to 1024MBH, and are applicable for use in small studio units all the way up to commercial buildings. Bosch is introducing the new SSB Series in phases with mid-size range 255,399 and 512 MBH models available initially.
The SSB Series was designed as a modular platform for commonality and familiarity for the installer, with fewer spare parts for faster service and less inventory requirements.
These boilers, which can be cascaded, feature a proprietary ASME SA-240 stainless steel type 316L heat exchanger and an integrated premix burner and a pneumatic air-gas system for optimized combustion. They can be vented using CPVC, PVC, PP, PP Flex, Stainless Steel AL29-4C, IPEX type IIA & IIB for use with single-pipe, two pipe or concentric configuration.
SSB boilers have a 5:1 turndown, an onboard control that includes weather compensation, mod-bus connectivity, a two-wire cascades link, plus terminal wiring. They also feature a factory installed low-water-cutoff (LWCO) and safety temperature high limiter with a manual reset to speed installation.
Also pre-installed in the larger units (sizes 512 to 1024 MBH) are a CSD-1 compliant low and high gas pressure switch.
Buderus SSB units installed in residential applications have a 10-year limited warranty on the stainless steel heat exchanger and a 5-year limited warranty on parts and labor at Bosch approved rates. For boilers installed in a building other than 1-2 family residential dwellings, the other boiler parts have a 2-year limited warranty, excluding labor charges.
